International Approval and Registration Centre (IARC)
The Fashion Design Academy of Ireland is accredited by the International Approval and Registration Centre (IARC). The IARC is a not-for-profit association. The centre was founded in 1999 in response to increasing globalisation of world economies and societies, and is currently managed by an elected committee of six education practitioners and industry professionals.
The IARC plays a role in ensuring our quality standards relating to course content, delivery, assessment and administration are maintained. IARC's role as an independent recognition association gives reassurance the Academy has undergone checks relevant to the post-secondary education industry in general terms.
British Accreditation Council (BAC)
The BAC was established in 1984 to provide a comprehensive quality assurance scheme for independent further and higher education in the UK. BAC is recognised the world over by students, agents and government officials as the clearest mark of educational quality in the private sector. Alongside the British Council the BAC have overseen the inspection of private post-16 education for over 30 years.
The BAC are committed to both encouraging the highest standards of education offered by independent colleges and providing prospective students with an invaluable guide to quality in an often complex sector. Their charitable status informs their efforts not merely to pass judgement on institutions, but also to nurture their attempts to raise standards and the quality of education for all.
The CPD Standards Office
To achieve accreditation by The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Standards Office, the Academy underwent a rigorous assessment process that focuses on the development and delivery of training including the Academy’s educational authority, how delegate feedback is collected and utilised, and ensuring content is kept up to date.
The CPD Standards accreditation operates internationally and meets the CPD requirements and expectations for all professional bodies, regulators and membership organisations across the globe. This means that a professional attending an accredited CPD training activity can receive a CPD Certificate of Attendance, which can then be used towards their national CPD requirements.
Due to the research undertaken by the CPD Standards Research Project with various professional bodies and regulators the accreditation is recognised and respected internationally.
